BOOKER T. GREEN
PARENT GREEN TEAM LEAD
Joshua Jackson
The Booker T. Parent Green Team’s top goal is to support the students, teachers, staff and families in reducing their environmental impact through waste reduction and energy conservation through education and community projects. Our other top priority is to support MS54 successfully launch a Student Green Team Club that will focus on achieving these same goals. Along with MS54 Civics Week and Earth Week, The New York City Departement of Education has designated four Climate Action Days throughout the school year that will be used to promote environmental awareness. To support this, the parent Green Team will help gather resources, plan school community events, and help maintain the garden beds around the school (after the scaffolding comes down) and the hydroponic systems as needed.
